Don’t give out personal information until you have met the person you have been communicating with online, it is a good idea to keep your personal information limited. That is not to say tell them nothing about yourself, but to be careful how much data you give someone who is a virtual stranger. Speak in general as to where you live and where you work. Don’t give out your home telephone number. It is best to only give your cell phone number until you get to know the person a little better. |
