In any case, I have no ideas in regards to what I should do for our anniversary. I know she mentioned that this weekend is "New Years," at least here it is, so an activity isn't necessarily an issue. Plus I have a gift certificate for a nice Italian restaurant in town that I've wanted to try. I already feel somewhat guilty because I must work this weekend. Whenever I don't have the kids, I work and fortunately my boss accommodated the new custody arrangement with the kids by scheduling me every other weekend.

Do people usually buy each other presents after dating a year? If it was a girl friend, I'd have no trouble at all, but I just don't know what to get a guy. And frankly a tie or cologne won't cut it because I want to get something special. Does anyone have any suggestions or questions that might point me in the right direction?
