So. I met this girl last year. We had one date, then she sent me an e-mail that said she can not continue to see me because of some reason that she did not want to tell me. I was unhappy because I liked her. Then, she didn't contact me for a while and I figured that there was no future for the relationship. I applied for a job in another state and got an interview. Right before the interview, she starts e-mailing me again. I become somewhat interested in the job. Meanwhile we go out one more time and exchange e-mails and talk on the phone. She starts to have feelings for me.

I talked to her and said something like I still have to decide on this job. If the offer is really good, I will probably be leaving the state and then I can't date her. If I don't get the job, or it is not an interesting offer, then I will stay here and then can date her.

So, she is waiting for a few days to see if I get this job offer. She hopes I won't so we can start dating again.

I feel bad, because I really don't want to say "Wait a few days and maybe we can go out". But, the way things worked out, that is what has happened.
