My guy is too shy

Hey wassup ok so here's the thing. I have known my bf since feb of this yr. We started going out when the semester finished in may. He's polite and sweet and easy to talk to. Thing is that i know he wont kiss me first so I want to do it first. I just dont know how to or when it would be appropriate. I've never kissed anyone before.
