I started online dating after the healing period I took after my late boyfriends death. I wanted to meet people whom did not really "know" him, or the history there automatically (I could tell them if we started dating instead). Most of my social groups and friends looked at me with pity, or guilt, rather as being "datable"!

My personal rules were to only meet "locals", and to meet if there was shared interest within a week or two at most. I did not want to actually date people online, I wanted to just MEET them and then date in real life!
