I completely disagree here. The real meaning of life is to survive and reproduce. That's what hundreds of millions of years of evolution have designed us for and it's the same simplistic desire found in every living organism in the universe.

I am someone who eats when I'm hungry and stops eating when I'm satisfied. I generally make healthy meal choices. But when I go to the gym, I work up this insatiable appetite. I end up eating more calories than I've burned. Anyone know how to get around this? Thanks.

This could be a real problem. Don't go for the seconds and thirds. The bowl of cereal later in the evening would be enough I think. You can work out everyday like mad and still be overweight if you continue to do this. You just have to use will power to curb it.

I think you're both right. I am gaining more muscle (yay!), but I also need to cut down on the after work-out eating. It's excessive.
