I've been wearing toenail polish the past two years. I only ever take it off to put more on. About a year ago, I noticed that my nails were looking very dry and damaged so I stopped using a metal cuticle pusher. Although they are much better than they were, I still have damage on three nails. I'm pretty sure it's not fungus but I could be wrong. Anyway, I really like doing my nails with french tips but I can't because the damage will show through. Does anyone know of a good basecoat that will keep nailpolish from further damaging my nails while the damage grows out? BTW, not wearing nailpolish is not an option. I despise feet and the only way I can deal with my own is if they look nice.
